CERPs International 2025

What is CERPs international?

CERPs International is a very special training event organized by ELACTA for its members IBCLCs and those who want to become members. IBCLC colleagues from all over Europe meet in a small group to learn from and with each other. We keep the feel-good factor very high.

In the morning we listen to the submitted lectures, workshops or case reports, while in the afternoon/evening we get to know the host country, its culture, nature and cuisine, and have ample time to exchange ideas with colleagues from different countries, to get to know each other better and to deepen discussions.

On 2-4 May 2025, we will meet in Lisbon, Portugal!

Why is there no program in the call for papers?

No speakers will be invited for this event, instead the program will be created from the contributions submitted by the IBCLC participants.

Experienced colleagues probably have ready-made presentations or workshops they can share with us, younger colleagues may want to test their presentation skills in this small, protected setting. And certainly, most of us have interesting case reports to share with other colleagues.

From experience, we have always had a very diverse program with which we could award something like 10 – 12 CERPs.

The only event language is English.

Saturday May, 3rd - Sintra

Transport will leave venue at 2.30 pm

Sintra is one of the most beautiful and enchanting towns in Portugal, known for its fairytale palaces, lush gardens, and romantic atmosphere that attracts visitors from all over the world.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Park and Palace of Pena, the most popular palace in Sintra—and probably in all of Portugal. With its exquisitely decorated halls and idyllic gardens, it is more than just an impressive architectural masterpiece; it is a sensory experience in every aspect.

Next, we will take a leisurely stroll through the charming streets of Sintra, admiring the colorful houses, artisan shops, and sunny terraces. And, of course, we can't leave Sintra without tasting some of its local delicacies: travesseiros, queijadas de Sintra, pastéis da Pena, nozes de Galamares, or fofos de Belas.

At dinner (Lazuli restaurant, Oeiras), you can enjoy a fado performance. Fado is a traditional Portuguese musical genre, characterized by melancholic melodies and lyrics that express deep emotions such as 'saudade', love, fate, and nostalgia. It is usually sung in an intense and emotional manner, accompanied by the Portuguese guitar and classical guitar.
